Diagnosis of dyslipidemia was based on presence of one or more of the following: fasting serum cholesterol >220 mg/dL, serum triglyceride >200 mg/dL and HDL cholesterol A careful medical history for intake of drugs and alcohol was obtained, and detailed clinical examination was performed during the first hospital visit.
