It is guardsmen, who have been ordered not to allow anyone within one kilometer of the Palace. Dr. Gaspar says he must get to the Palace and identifies himself. The guards the 7th guest laugh in disbelief. Dr. Gaspar, they say, is home the 7th guest in his workshop repairing Tutti's doll. Dr. Gaspar, about to show them the doll, then sees that it is missing. It must have fallen out of the carriage while he was asleep. So Gaspar and the carriage turn around. He and the coachman search for the doll, but to no avail. |
