The legislators cited this week's release of the new video game, "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," as an example of the constant influx of violent and mature video games that are specifically marketed to minors. "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City requires players to carjack, shoot, and even kill opponents in order to advance in the game. Like so many other games on the market, this game targets underage players, yet trivializes violence, blood and guts through life-like animation," said Guear (D-Mercer).
