My Aunt and Uncle were over to visit and my Uncle commented on the book. Knowing absolutely nothing about the book, he said it was about witchcraft and the devil's work. I tried to point out that simply wasn't true. So here I am teacher's guides auguring with a 40-something year old man about a innocent Nancy Drew book and my mother is behind him shaking her head back and forth trying to get me to shut up. She didn't agree with him, but she KNEW there was NOTHING teacher's guides I could say to get him teacher's guides to see the book was just a teenage mystery novel.....nothing else. They have a strange way of thinking. All that conflict they had before becoming "born again" screwed with their heads. I guess they feel since they did "everything that crossed their minds" (and some of it is really disgusting), they think EVERYBODY ELSE will do (or has done) the same thing and it's their role in life to save everybody from committing the same horribly disgusting acts.
